I've seen a lot of anime that I found so boring that I don't finish them, but probably the anime title that stands out as one of the most boring for me is The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Season 02, specifically the infamous and dreaded Endless Eight Arc.

For those who saw TMOHS Season 01 and wowed by it but not TMOHS Season 02 yet, you might think I'm doing blasphemy against the goddess Haruhi. But for those who survived with countless migraines after watching the Endless Eight Arc, you can sympathize with me.

The Endless Eight Arc was so boring because it was just that - ENDLESS. You should be prepared to fight off sleep if you intend to marathon the Arc, which I feel is a sort of exercise in masochism in a way, or a fool-proof temporary cure for insomnia.

Also, the fact that my favorite artificial intelligence Yuki Nagato was herself bored during the Endless Eight is added proof that it was boring. If you can bore a advanced galactic being becasue of the events of the Endless Eight, what more mere humans like us?

Honestly, it would have been better and enjoyable to watch TMOHS 02 if the show's producers decided not to follow the Endless Eight storyline, and went with a few filler episodes, or cut the arc in half. It was an excruciating experience that I had to go through, since I do love the Haruhi Suzumiya franchise and wanted to complete Season 02.

another one that I think is boring would be Absolute Boy...
the phase of the story is really too slow for my taste
the mystery didn't help that much

Yeah! I know that TMOHS S2 is one of the most boring anime some of us ever watched(even though i'm a TMOHS fan). But I'm looking forward for the "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya" that was released this past February 6, 2010 in Japanese theaters. If I'm wrong about the released date, please correct the statement by quoting that line.

LOL TMoHS 2, I agree with that. when season 1 came out, it made a huge impact in the anime industry saka maraming na hook kay Haruhi.

Season 2 also made a huge impact for being so boring. XDDD parang yun lang ata yung unang beses na nakakita ako ng isang successful anime franchise na biglang naubusan ng fans. it was so boring na nagtataka nako dun sa mga taong pinagtatanggol pa yung series after 6 or 7 episodes of that dreaded Endless Eight arc. lol don't get me wrong, I was a huge fan of Haruhi during season 1, I even have several Haruhi figs and gashapons that are in my toy collection pero season 2 was so frustrating. sobrang hirap magpigil na mang troll sa forum during that time XD Di ko alam kung masyado silang naging overconfident na di sila iiwanan ng fans or talagang gusto lang nilang parusahan yung nanonood XDDD


hmm sa ibang anime naman, marami rin series na lumabas dati na generic lang yung takbo ng story or hindi na bago sa paningin ko.

some of those series are:

-Tokimeki Memorial (LOL I dunno, mejo marami rin fans tong series na to pero ilang beses kong nakatulugan to habang pinapanood ko kaya nung bandang episode 7, sumuko na ko. the story was too plain for me, maraming mas magandang slice-of-life/romance anime na pwedeng ipang tapat dito)

-Girls Bravo (LOL! kinda shocking that an ecchi anime is boring for me, pero yep. di ko masyadong trip yung mga anime na tadtad ng ecchi kase masyadong mababaw yung story saka ang bagal ng progression. kung puro tinadtad lang din ng ecchi scenes yung papanoorin ko, then I'll just watch an H anime XD)

-Lamune (same reason as Tokimeki Memorial, too plain)

-Shadow Skill (LOL, it was rare for me at that time to consider an anime series as boring since sa local tv lang ako nakakanood, limited access kase di pa naman uso internet. pero this is one of those AXN anime that I considered boring. it didn't really attract me as much. mas nagustuhan ko pa Cyberteam over this one XDD)


actually marami pa kong mga anime na di tinapos dati kase masyadong boring para saken. yung iba nga nakalimutan ko na kase masyadong boring XDDD

The amount of Suzumiya Haruhi S2 hate makes me sad... very sad

Well, I guess it sort of deserved it for giving us the horrors of Endless Eight, though personally, I really wouldn't classify the entire 2nd season as a borefest. In fact, I'm very happy that they included Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody, Endless Eight (the last one), and The Sighs of Haruhi Suzumiya. Sighs, in particular, manages to bring back the show that I loved so much. It's understandable that people focus mostly on the flaws, but I believe the good points deserve to be mentioned as well.

Back on topic, a couple of shows that bored the heck out of me were Honey & Clover and Sketchbook~full color'S~. Now, I'm aware that both of these shows have their merits, but I simply was unable to see them. I haven't watched past the first couple of episodes for these shows, so I do not know nor do I care if they do get better of otherwise. Oh, and Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei became this after a while as well.

Just a point of clarification here: I don't think me or any of those who posted that we found TMOHS2 boring means we hated the anime.

Like I said above, I personally love the Haruhi Suzumiya franchise, and I did enjoy the movie-making arc of TMOHS2 (the tense scene in Itsuki's house over Mikuru's drugging was one of the best drama scenes I've seen in an anime), but you do agree that the Endless Eight Arc made it an tough watch to get though two months of the arc's episodes. I believe it was a production decision that KyoAni might have thought as remaining true to the story, but it did make it extremely boring on the other side of the coin. So I don't personally see TMOHS2 as a total borefest, but thanks to Endless Eight I picked the anime for this thread's subject.

Just to make it clear that we are not trolling the title, but stating an obvious human reaction to the way that arc flowed. And if we did focus on the arc being boring as a flaw of the anime, its again because of thread subject. I honestly don't see any trait that makes a title boring as a positive trait. I'm just trying to state this opinion in the most respectful and constructive manner possible but if from your observation I did sound like I "trolled" the anime, I do sincerely apologize for it and take full responsibility for my words.

Eh. I didn't mean to sound hostile or anything. I apologize if that's the impression I made. I was simply giving my reasons as to why TMOHS was not completely boring. I think we can all agree that Endless Eight was just a lame excuse for laziness, but the rest wasn't. Now, I'm not implying that everyone else thinks it was completely boring. I am just clarifying that fact so that no one gets any wrong ideas. Looking back, I guess too much of my obsession for the series leaked into my previous post, so I apologize for that as well.

Come to think of it, I think I skipped the entire Endless Eight arc except the first and last ones. I guess that's why it doesn't bother me so much.

I really can't understand the plot... I thought this was good but no... I even thought it was a romance anime...

I can take the terminologies but the flow of the story is way too slow for me...

Gun X Sword simply doesn't appeal to me at all...The events which lead to the ending of the series are way too comedic and too light for me...I kept on watching it hoping that it will become better as the story progress but instead I was disappointed in the end...

TMOHS S2 endless eight arc: mukang mas maganda pa ang rerun or replay episodes ng khit anong anime titles kesa dyan. tignan nyo, althroughly, napanood ko ung lahat ng episode ng endless eight. pinangako ko sa sarili ko na di ko na papanuorin ung lahat ng endless eight tska every episodes has different camera angles, dialogue, clothes they wear, still the same happening. di boring sa kin ung ibang episode ng MOHS like bamboo leaf raphsody and the sigh of haruhi suzumiya

Ragnarok the Animation - someone said its a boring anime dahil based sya sa popular online game. for me ok nman ung story. nkapagtataka, bkit daw boring ung anime na ito? can someone tell me? (honestly, mas maganda pa ang fate/stay night kesa sa ragnarok )
